Airbnb strikes a marketing deal with Lollapalooza festivals
Short-term stays giant Airbnb has revealed its latest music initiative: a partnership with festivals brand Lollapalooza. The deal covers events in Chicago, Berlin, São Paulo and Mumbai.
“Guests can book daily Airbnb Experiences at several Lollapalooza festivals — plus access an exclusive onsite Airbnb lounge,” explained Airbnb.
“Experiences range from concert photography tutorials with professional photographers and behind-the-scenes tours with festival directors to intimate artist performances and more.”
German artist Bunt is the first musician to be announced, with a DJ set at Lollapalooza Berlin bookable from 5 June.
The festival is also offering a glow-up with makeup artist Michael Mayer and a fashion makeover with stylist Elli Fatale – both starting at £168 per guest, although they include a day ticket to the festival.
The partnership follows Airbnb’s link-up with Doja Cat last year for a one-night performance, including a famous (for us anyway) “I can only withstand this exchange of energies for so long, so this is not a stay” caveat.
